Naomi de Bruyn lives southwest of Edmonton, A.B. having fled the beautiful city of Victoria, B.C. for something a little quieter. Once surrounded by lush forest and crystal lakes, she is now living with the man of her dreams on the edge of a lake surrounded by "toothpicks masquerading as trees," and still tries to escape the world of drones as much as possible.
She was hooked on reading while still in diapers, as her father's deep, melodic voice intoned Rudyard Kipling's Just So Stories at bedtime each night. This led to a voracious appetite where the science fiction and fantasy genre was concerned, and a lifelong gripe about the lack of decent reading material - "There's never enough!"
Lifelong eclectic interests in music and reading material have led her through some interesting situations, and provided her with some equally odd friends. Writing has always been a need, even if it's only for the enjoyment of friends and family.
Her favorite job so far (besides Linear Reflections) has been hitting the roads as a Traffic Controller. She has no idea what she wants to be when she grows up, but due to fey blood in the family, there's plenty of time for decisions to be made. |

 | Annie Rae Huston (writer) see full article list
Annie Rae Huston is a chronic people-watcher and shameless eavesdropper. If she weren't involved with writing and film making, she'd probably be a private eye or a spy. She sees the world through the eyes of a storyteller, which allows an otherwise mundane coffee shop, park bench or public transit ride to become a fascinating adventure.
After graduating from Vancouver Film School, she worked in ...
