This is for You ![]() On the search once again for beauty and inspiration, I visited an art site filled with major artists from all over the world. I'm in a good mood today, and am looking for more realism. Then, there it was. A fantasy with borderline reality. Staring out at me from his cute little mischievous eyes was the gargoyle. Not just any gargoyle, mind you, but one holding a rose. Hmmmmmm! He knows me, doesn't he? Perched on the ledge high up in the soft clouds, which have a breech in them. The opening in the clouds was done on purpose, shares our well know artist, G G Kopilak. She states, "Is he harmless, or not?" She also shares that the painting is about risk, trust, and judgment. Wow! What a way to explore one's inner soul. Our whimsical gargoyle that is holding a red rose in his right clawed and, wants me to have this offering. The grin on his stone face is slightly sinister, a little bit sly and cunning. Oh my, should I take the rose or not? Can we trust him, as Kopilak asks? Kopilak was born in New York City, and graduated from the School of Visual Arts in Italy. She's been on countless boards to include the Katonah Museum Artists Association, White Plains High School, and has taught at Mount Pleasant. She also shares that "My art is a journey... a way for me to visually explore my life... of my emotions, feelings, thoughts and ideas." Her works have been on exhibition both online and in museums throughout the United States. Don't miss the chance to explore her world, by visiting her gallery.
